What is the size of any upfront deposit required?
We request a minimum £1500.00 deposit.
When must I pay the upfront deposit?
Cleared funds at least 3 working days before the funeral.
How long will I have to pay the final balance?
One calendar month after the date of the funeral, unless otherwise agreed in writing by us.
What are my options for paying the deposit and final balance?
Cash, visa, bank transfer. We do accept cheque but this would need to be paid at least 7 working days prior to funeral if being used to pay the deposit.
Will any additional charges apply is I don’t pay the bill on time?
If you fail to pay in full by the due date we may charge you interest at a rate of 4% above our banks base rate. This will be calculated on a daily basis from the date of the funeral until payment and compounded on the first day of each month including before and after any judgement (unless a court orders otherwise). We will recover the cost of taking legal action to make you pay.
If I change my mind after engaging you as my funeral director, will you charge me (and if so, how much)?
You will be required to pay a reasonable amount for the goods and services already provided. However, if the services have been fully performed the contract cannot be cancelled, even if the cancellation period is still running.
