Alan M. Fawcett Funeral Directors is a small, independent family firm operating from Carnforth, Bolton-le-Sands and Warton in north Lancashire, just south of the Lake District. The business was originally founded in 1973 by Alan M. Fawcett, who was later joined as a partner by his wife, Evelyn Ellen Fawcett. Both Alan and Evelyn passed away in 2020, but their legacy continues through their daughter Anne and grandson Andrew, who carry on the family tradition with a wealth of experience.
The firm is committed to providing a personalised and dignified service to all bereaved families, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Families can always rely on a sympathetic and understanding voice at the end of the telephone, no matter the time of day or night.
Among the services offered are funeral arrangements, chapel of rest, floral tributes, memorials, coffin choice, and Golden Charter pre-arranged funeral plans, ensuring that every aspect of a farewell can be thoughtfully tailored to each family's wishes.
"They provide a very personal and family service. Everything sorted with the minimum of fuss. Excellent service — used Fawcetts for both my mother's and later my father's funerals."
— Paul Henri
"Alan M Fawcett ensured that nothing was too much trouble for us as a family during that sad time. And the actual funeral itself went flawlessly."
— Ken McVie (about Alan)
"Andrew, Anne & Amber are simply outstanding and could not have been more straight forward and compassionate to work with through a difficult life event."
— Stuart Pakenham-Walsh (about Andrew, Anne, Amber)
"Fawcetts absolutely are a loving, caring and genuine family and will move heaven and earth to help you say goodbye when the time comes."
— Paula Gardner
"Andrew and Anne provided a faultless service following the death of our son. They went above and beyond what could be expected, continuing to work long hours into the early morning at times. What an absolutely fantastic and professional company who made this difficult time, bearable."
— Len Charnock (about Andrew, Anne)
"From the moment I rang them I felt loving arms around me. Helena would be 23 this year and still on her birth month a book of remembrance is displayed in their little chapel. A true family with so much compassion, so much care and thought, even 23 years on I'm still feeling cared for."
— Paula Gardner
