When my husband suddenly and unexpectedly died in November, I was at a loss of where to turn. I was recommended Albany by a couple of friends, a choice I never regretted.From the first meeting I had with Angela, I felt at ease that they were the best choice to look after my husband and take him on his final journey. Angela was so kind, compassionate, and understanding. Over a cup of tea, she asked questions about my husband and the sort of service I wanted for him. She recommended a celebrant who was perfect. The service was spot on and all I could have hoped for to give my husband the send-off he deserved in the difficult times due to the lockdown restrictions.On the day, Matthew and his team performed their duties with dignity and discretion.I would like to thank Angela, Matthew and the team whose kindness and professionalism helped to make the whole situation more bearable. I was so impressed with the way Albany Funerals dealt with the arrangements for the funeral of my mother. From the moment they arrived on the day she died and the care and compassion they showed not only me, but also my mother. They dealt with everything with grace, style and dignity. There were no rushed conversations, no feeling as though you needed to hurry with the arrangements. Everything was exactly as we needed it to be. Suggestions were made as to the content of the service without being pushy and celebrants suggested who were just perfect in every way. The personal touch of having the person that you first meet following the death being the last person you see at the end of the service gives the personal touch. Albany does everything and even more than it promises to. I have nothing but high praise for they way Matthew and his colleagues professionally and sensitively performed their duties to give my mum Barbara the send off she deserved. I managed with their help and their great patience to have the funeral I wanted for my mum. Nothing was too much trouble even when I kept changing my mind. On the day Matthew and his team discreetly executed their duties, which made the day less painful as I knew everything was in good safe experienced hands. Would recommend highly. Thank you Matthew.
