If you ever have the sad job of arranging a funeral, I can’t recommend A. W Lymn in Carlton highly enough. I was dreading attending the meeting with the funeral director when my grandma passed away, but as soon as we stepped into the building, we were made to feel at ease. Mark showed nothing but absolute professionalism, care and compassion, and I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to have dealt with the arrangements for my grandma’s funeral. After the devastating diagnosis of my wife and her ultimate death, we all felt raw and unable to contain our emotions. We had not made any prior arrangements, as you do not want to prompt the inevitable, but just one phone call to Lymns, and respect was shown from the outset. Collection was just a few hours later, giving us time to spend a few last moments together Karen and every single person that we had contact with at Lymns were extremely professional and paid us and my wife full respect for our loss. The procedure and options were fully explained and our questions were answered. We had in mind, our own wishes for the occasion and these were accommodated. Richard the celebrant made sure that we were prepared for the day and helped us to play our personal roles. They are in the strange situation of no one ever wanting to use them, but I can fully recommend Lymms with no reservations whatsoever. Price was never an issue for us, but we were pleased with the cost. Everything went smoothly on the day. They should be proud of the service that they delivered.

We used A W Lymn for my father’s funeral and Paul Richardson supported us through the funeral arrangements. This was done with sympathy and compassion. He also brought some light hearted moments at a difficult time which helped the situation. Communication was excellent by Paul as he kept us regularly updated. On the day of the funeral, the whole team supported and ensured the day went smoothly.

We used Lymns at Carlton Nottingham. Emily and the team were exceptional with information and advice that I needed at the time of the passing of my Dad. There support was amazing leading up to and on the day of the cremation the day will stay with me always as a celebration of his life. Thankyou

During an incredibly difficult time, she was compassionate, patient and quietly reassuring. Nothing ever felt rushed or burdensome, and her calm guidance gave me confidence that everything was in safe hands. On the day itself, Mark looked after us and was a true gentleman. His respectful presence and thoughtful manner brought a quiet sense of steadiness to what could have been an overwhelming day. Grant, who drove the hearse, conducted everything with such composure and professionalism. The entire team from the church through to the graveside worked seamlessly and with great respect. Every detail was handled with care and precision. My brother was laid to rest with the dignity he deserved, and for that I will always be grateful. I can find no faults, only commendations.
