Ballard and Shorthall Crawley recently took care of my mother’s funeral, Maureen Assanah. They had also looked after Dad in 2013. They are a brilliant team, and supported us every step of the way with kindness, respect, and support. They looked after my parents with compassion and shared every step of the process which was such a relief when grieving. Nothing was too much trouble, they kept in contact throughout the entire process, even following up after the funeral . We never felt like a number but were held with genuine care by every team member we interacted with. On the day of the funeral everyone was so kind, the pallbearers, driver and Paul the Funeral Director were phenomenal. Thank you to the whole team for the brilliant job you do in making such difficult circumstances just that little bit easier. Over the years, I’ve attended the funerals of a few close family members where Ballard & Shortall have made the arrangements. Then, this past spring, my sisters and I had to arrange the funeral of my dad Michael Rafferty, and there was no question that Ballard & Shortall would be our choice to handle the funeral. This could have been difficult, as I live outside of the UK, but everything was handled with such care and professionalism by Ballard and Shortall. They truly do a superb job. Paul Shortall knew my Dad personally, and he was so warm and understanding of all we were going through on the day. Nikki and all the staff in the office are very capable and efficient, but also supportive and caring. Everything went perfectly and beautifully on the day. Our loved one was honored in exactly the way we wanted, and that means everything! Thank you all so much for doing a difficult job so well.
