During a difficult time for me and my family Ballard and Shortall were outstanding from start to finish. The empathy and care they have given to us and our Dad throughout was above and beyond. We visited our dad a few times and every visit we were made to feel so welcomed, the compassion shown throughout helped us through the worse time of our lives. The attention to detail on the day, everything went perfect. From walking in front of the car on my dads last journey from his family home ment so much to us as a family. On behalf of the Curtin Family we can't thank you all enough for the amazing work you all do especially Paul, Clare and also our lovely driver Steve. I know my Dad would be watching over and thanking you all for the amazing/exceptional work you do. We had relatives over from Ireland and they were amazed at the attention to detail and care shown throughout. Again thank you all for helping us through a difficult time and helping us navigate through this journey. Katie Curtin x

I recently attended the funeral of my partner’s father John. I would like to say that the dignity, compassion, comfort and support that was shown was above and beyond. The professionalism and attention to detail was absolutely exceptional and the kindness of all involved was outstanding. I cannot begin to express the comfort you brought to the family knowing that John was in your care and I will be forever thankful to you all.

Attended my brother in laws funeral which was handled by Ballard & Shortall with the utmost professionalism, being from Ireland our funerals are slightly different but I must say I absolutely loved the way the funeral directors walk in front of the hearse it’s a lovely mark of respect. The family were involved in every part of the planning, every single detail was triple checked & also have to highlight the beautiful wreaths which were stunning. To Claire & Paul & Co thank you from the bottom of our hearts for treating John with the respect & dignity he deserved on his last journey on earth. Carmel O’Connell

With the recent passing of our father, Ballard and Shortall( Crawley) arranged the Funeral. From the initial phone call to the meeting in their offices , right through to laying my father to rest the whole team were compassionate , professional and showed great personnel attention. Which gave the whole family great comfort and allowed the family to have a beautiful and fitting send off. A special mention to Debbie for all her help and support, nothing was too much trouble. We Would highly recommend them.

Ballard & Shortall handled my stepfather’s funeral with exceptional care and professionalism. From the very first meeting, their team was compassionate, patient, and attentive to every detail. They guided us through each step with genuine understanding, making a very difficult time feel a little lighter. The staff were respectful and thoughtful in all their interactions, always ensuring that our wishes—and my stepfather’s—were honoured. The service itself was beautifully arranged, dignified, and exactly what our family hoped for. Every aspect, from organisation to communication, was handled smoothly and with great sensitivity. We are truly grateful to Ballard & Shortall for their support and the comfort they provided during such an emotional time. I couldn’t recommend them more highly.
