Where can I find a full list of your prices and service options?
What is the size of any upfront deposit required?
We usually ask for the disbursements (Third Party Charges) in advance. For a cremation at Thornton Crematorium this would usually be the cremation fee (£860); Doctor's Certificate for Cremation (£82) and Ministers/Celebrants Fee (usually £199).
For burial we would ask for the cemetery fees and the Ministers/Celebrants Fees to be paid.
When must I pay the upfront deposit?
48 hours before the funeral takes place.
We may waive the need for a deposit if the account is being paid by the bank, a solicitor or another method from the estate of the deceased person.
How long will I have to pay the final balance?
30 days from the date of the invoice which is usually sent a few days after the funeral takes place. If the full balance is paid before the funeral takes place we will deduct £75 from the bill.
What are my options for paying the deposit and final balance?
Bank Transfer, Debit/Credit Card, Cheque, Cash.
Will any additional charges apply is I don’t pay the bill on time?
We reserve the right to add fees to the bill if we have to employ a third party to collect the payment. If you stay in touch with us and continue to pay we would not apply extra charges.
If I change my mind after engaging you as my funeral director, will you charge me (and if so, how much)?
We will not charge if we haven't done any work. Examples of charges would be if we had transferred the person who has died outside of normal working hours (£150) or ordered something special on your behalf such as a coffin or urn.
