Over the past three centuries, CPJ Field has been actively owned and managed by the Field family through ten generations. This family approach along with CPJ being the oldest funeral director in the UK provides a unique experience to every funeral.
We understand that no two lives are the same, which is why every funeral we arrange is completely individual too.

We were very impressed with the team in Crawley, they did everything they could to make us feel comfortable to arrange a funeral my Dad would have wanted. It was made more complicated by having to have service in Sussex and a committal in the New Forest about 80 miles apart. This did not mean that the team gave us any less priority because this was unconventional, and found us an appropriate chapel and a very good celebrant. Thank you.

My family and I received such a great service from Sue Glasgow, few months ago, when my dear father passed away. Sue made everything so easy and took care of all aspects of the funeral, at a time that I could hardly think straight. She listened carefully to our wishes and she gave us appropriate options. We felt we could trust Sue wholeheartedly, which meant that prior the funeral and on the day, we did not worry at all. The other staff at Bletchley were also wonderful and we found the experience in the Chapel, quite special and memorable. So a big thank you to Sue and all the team!!! She is a real asset and I have told all my friends about her professional attitude, empathy and genuine care. All the best

My father in law Charles Papworth passed away last night suddenly in hitchin and your team were called by the coroner to take him into the hospital. I just wanted to commend a member of your team Gary Hobbs from Heritage and sons who was absolutely amazing spending time with my mother in law who was in such shock, and she had lots of questions and he sat down and answered each and everyone one of them. In our eyes he went above and beyond putting mums mind at rest and the time he spent with het when he didnt have too really meant alot to her, he is credit to your company. Many thanks Papworth Family

The team at Ballard and Shortall in Horley did a superb job from start to finish with my father’s funeral. Always courteous, efficient and highly responsive. They took all the stress away for the family and ensured that the funeral itself went without a hitch. I can highly recommend them.

Paul at Haines looked after us and guided us through the process which could have been very stressful. We were treated with kindness throughout and my mums funeral was made easier with Paul’s help. Beautiful wicker casket (the picnic basket as we called it) was less harsh and sent mum on her way in style.
