From the initial contact to talk about the future arrangements through to Mums passing I had complete faith I had made the right choice. David was very caring and helpful and guided me through from the initial contact, taking mum from the care home when she passed to the funeral parlour. In the chapel of rest mum was beautifully laid out and looked amazing. After the cremation I received mum's ashes within a week in a lovely casket. DJ Cotton & Sons are a small family business who deliver a very high standard of funeral, with a priceless, personal touch. I contacted the company and spoke directly to David Cotton who came to my home to make the arrangements for my uncle’s funeral. He was punctual, professional and kind. I sense that he’s a ‘people person’ and I felt very relaxed with him. He’s completely approachable and doesn’t make you feel like an idiot for not knowing what’s happening. He patiently explained everything as we went through and was there for me every step of the way. I was very impressed that he was able to arrange the flowers (they were absolutely beautiful, white roses and lillies) and a wonderful order of service. I know it isn’t about the money, but I feel that some funeral directors rip you off when you’re at your most vulnerable. I felt the opposite with David Cotton and I wouldn’t hesitate to use his fine company again.
