We used Deric-Scott for my Dad's funeral in 2010 and we were very happy so it was natural for me to return when my Mum passed away. I knew EXACTLY what I wanted for my lovely Mum's funeral and Jackie helped me achieve everything on my list and more. We were lucky enough to already count our celebrant, Sally, as a close personal friend of Mum's but if that hadn't been the case I am confident that a suitable person would have been suggested. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Deric-Scott's team, they are compassionate, highly professional and friendly. 5 * easily! To Jackie, Martyn and the team, thank you all, very much. ❤❤

We would like to thank Deric Scott Funeral Directors from the bottom of our hearts for handling my beloved Father’s funeral in such a smooth efficient and compassionate manner. It was an extremely distressing time for me and Jackie was just so kind and caring and supportive and helped me through the arrangements in an unhurried way. It’s never easy arranging a parent’s funeral but it eased the burden somewhat to speak to Jackie and she provided support in terms of guidance and next steps needed from me as well as handling the arrangements, liaising with the church, printing out the orders of service, and helping arrange the wake. My Grandad’s funeral was arranged through them so I knew we’d be in good hands, from the first call to them, through to the very end after the event, everything was arranged with minimum fuss and excellent communication throughout. The location is extremely peaceful and a lovely building, and visiting Dad prior to his send off was also very comforting and handled the utmost dignity, kindness and empathy. Martyn and his team were also brilliant on the day and we had a well planned and thoughtful route for his send off in their beautiful Rolls Royce cars, my Dad would have been very proud. Thanks so much again from us all.

Not a review I ever imagined I would be writing, but I wanted to express my sincere gratitude to Jackie and Gary for their incredible support, patience, and compassion in organising my father’s service. At such a difficult time, their calm guidance and kindness made everything feel manageable. A special thank you to Gary for taking the time to truly listen to our stories and memories, and for shaping a service that felt deeply personal and meaningful to our family. I cannot recommend Deric Scott highly enough. We felt supported and cared for every step of the way 🙏

I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to Martyn and Jackie for their amazing help in my Mums funeral. After also helping with my Brothers funeral back in 2009 there is no where else we would of gone ! Both Martyn and Jackie were really warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. I have never left a review before but during this sad time, they had showed nothing but care and compassion. I had many questions which were all answered and their patience truly justifies a great review. Thank you again for all the time, patience and compassion you showed us and more importantly, the care you showed and gave to both my Mum (recently) and my Brother (many years ago). The word 'Thank You' doesn't seem enough but know from the bottom of my heart, we are truly truly grateful for all the kindness you showed.

We would like to thank Deric Scott Funeral Directors for the care, professionalism and kindness they showed in managing the death and cremation of my father, Gordon. From the moment they collected him from the hospital through to the service at Bournemouth Crematorium, everything was handled with dignity, calmness and genuine compassion. At what was a very difficult time for our family, they made the entire process feel supported and thoughtfully managed. We particularly appreciated the small touches and attention to detail, as well as the way the service itself was delivered. It was beautifully organised and reached everyone in the chapel, creating a meaningful and respectful farewell. We are very grateful for the care they took and would not hesitate to recommend Deric Scott Funeral Directors to others.
