Doves Funeral Directors was founded by second-generation Funeral Director Sean Costello in the 1980’s, with the first premises in Bromley.
Doves Funeral Directors quickly established a local reputation for empathy and experience in supporting the community in planning funerals for loved ones and soon expanded the business across Kent.

I cannot recommend Dove's of Swanley highly enough. At a very difficult and overwhelming time, Karen was absolutely fantastic. She took the time to explain things to us and was so patient and kind. Everything was organised wonderfully for the day and the staff that helped us on the day were also absolutely brilliant. Thank you to Dove's Swanley for helping us to give our father a wonderful send off.

Our family have used Doves funeral services more than once over the years. We have always found them to be very professional but also warm and sympathetic. The service provided is personal and time is taken to understand what we as the client wants along with making recommendations and suggestions regarding aspects of the service that we may have forgotten about or weren't aware of. Communications are always prompt, polite and warm.

Doves funeral directors Swanley were incredibly compassionate and professional throughout the entire process. Karen, Donna and team guided us with empathy and expertise, ensuring that every detail was taken care of with the utmost care and respect. Their support during this challenging time was invaluable, and we are grateful for their dedication to making the farewell for our loved one as dignified and seamless as possible.”

Just some inadequate words to praise everyone at Doves, Swanley.Karen, Donna and the whole team were outstanding. From the very first meeting in the branch with Karen we knew we were in very, very safe hands. My parents both died within twenty four hours of each other and the family had decided we would like to arrange a double funeral. They both had pre-paid insurance plans, one with Doves and another with a different company, but the other company really didn't seem to be interested in trying to make this work. Karen took the issue into her own hands and, through their Head Office, was able to take control of both. She was outstanding, sensitive, compassionate, supportive and just there for us throughout. She kept us informed on an almost daily basis and gave us gentle reminders when we were approaching a deadline. She also found us the perfect celebrant.Donna, who controlled the events on the day, was just as sensitive and compassionate. We were all treated with the greatest respect, attentiveness and courtesy. We would not hesitate to recommend Doves in Swanley to anyone in need of sensitive support and guidance during this very difficult time.

Karen and Karen were very efficient from the first phone call, to me coming in to make arrangements for my brother’s funeral. When I visited Bob in the chapel of rest, which they done out of office hours, my daughter and I were pleased with how good Bob looked. On the day of the service Nick and Chrissy looked after us from start to finish. I would recommend Doves at Swanley to everyone. Thank you.
