Recently used E A Gilman to arrange a close family friends funeral. With little experience of planning a funeral, the staff at E A Gilman and in particular Estrella from the Balham branch were ever so helpful and patient with our ever changing needs. This was a very stressful time for our family with many challenges and moving pieces but Estrella remained patient and accommodating throughout the ordeal.-Jeremiah

We used the Balham branch as they were recommended to us, primarily because they were in good proximity to the Cremetorium we had chosen to use for our service. We would like to thank Estrella for her kindness, support and guidance in organising the funeral and ensuring that we understood what needed to be completed and provided us with guidance for the different stages of planning the funeral. Estrella was also instrumental in introducing us to our celebrant for the service - Robert. Robert showed compassion, understanding and was able to help us create a service that celebrated my brothers life. Finally to Kingsley for ensuring that my brother made it to his funeral and ensuring that everything ran smoothly. I am more than happy to recommend EA Godfrey and Gillman Funeral Service. Thank you.

My family used the Balham branch. I cannot think of any way in which they could have been more accommodating and understanding of our needs in an extremely difficult time for us. Bella was incredible; she approaches her role with a genuine care and compassion.

Gill was wonderful when she helped me to organise my husband's funeral. Everything was calm and she was really clear with all the options and made great and thoughtful recommendations. The Funeral Director was brilliant. He came to meet me the day before and talked through any needs. He also reminded / welcomed me to pack snacks for my young children as the funeral was around lunchtime. He was absolutely brilliant on the day, really helping them to be at ease. Hugely appreciated him and the team.
