I am so grateful to Anna and Exit Here. Upon my mother's sudden death, Anna was there for us, personal and empathetic. She understood exactly what sort of funeral we needed and wanted for our beloved mother, and arranged everything with discretion and elegance, even navigating paperwork issues for us. She was able to capture the sort of ceremony we wanted for our mother, and all her suggestions were incredibly helpful; the flowers were tasteful, the location was local and so beautiful. I can only say thank you again, for having arranged this last farewell to our dear mother.

Following the unexpected death of our baby, someone recommended we work with Exit Here to plan her funeral. Despite the tragedy of our situation, the team at Exit Here could not have done more to make our experience a positive one. They were kind, thoughtful and incredibly efficient but, more importantly than that, they made us feel so seen and heard and treated us - and our darling daughter - with so much compassion. Our funeral service was the perfect tribute to our daughter and Anna and Sam are a credit to the business. They made an impossible day seem possible and we ended up having the perfect service. They even assisted us in having a custom urn made, which perfectly matched the essence and soul of our baby. Losing someone so important is not a situation that I ever want to find myself in again, but I would recommend Exit Here 100 times over. I recently had the experience of arranging a funeral for my brother, John, and I can honestly say it was nothing like I imagined. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by Oliver and Anna, who handled everything with care and humanity. They truly made the experience all about John, honouring his memory in a way that felt right. What impressed me most was their flexibility and willingness to let us create a ceremony that reflected John’s personality. You can do anything you want, they told us. That made me smile because my family can be - shall we say - unconventional at the best of times. We ended up dancing in the crematorium aisles at the close of the ceremony - something John would have absolutely loved. From our first meeting in Crouch End to the day of the funeral, nothing was too much trouble for the. They offered wonderful ideas, like giving Spring bulbs to the attendees to play, ensuring John’s memory would flourish each year in a burst of colour. Sam was particularly helpful with the Order of Service. I changed my mind so may times, yet he remained patient and supportive throughout the process. It might sound strange but I genuinely loved this place and appreciated how they made such a difficult time bearable and at times funny. In fact I am already considering planning my own funeral with the - they do the most funky ‘day of the dead’ coffin - although hopefully my funeral won’t be any day soon.

We couldn't have asked for a better fit. Their sensitivity and attention to detail was so appreciated and Anna's help in transferring venues at the last minute was completely invaluable. From our first meeting we knew we were in safe hands, we felt reassured and listened to and they were always one step ahead with what we needed to tackle and when. We feel much more at peace and greatly comforted having given our father the burial and memorial we wanted for him; beautiful, uplifting and elegantly executed. Highly recommend!
