Gore Brothers Ltd is an independent, family-run funeral company based in Margate, Kent, with a remarkable history stretching back to 1831. As early as that year, Thomas Grant Gore was involved in funerals, and by the mid-nineteenth century, Thomas Gore and Job Gore had formed the family company then known as Gore Brothers. Today, the company is run by four partners — Philip Gore, Michael Gore, Kevin Nicholson, and Alex Gore — continuing a proud tradition of compassionate, personal service to the local community.
Operating from their Margate branch at 56-60 Thanet Road, Gore Brothers Ltd offers a comprehensive range of funeral services, including traditional and religious ceremonies, themed and bespoke services, simple services, and direct cremations. They also provide a wide selection of coffins, urns, and ash caskets, along with floral tributes, donations, and memorial options. The company maintains a fleet of Mercedes and classic Daimlers and ensures their phone lines are answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
As a member of the NAFD, Gore Brothers Ltd is committed to the highest standards of care and transparency, including flexible payment options to help ease financial burdens. With over 190 years of experience serving the communities of Margate, Broadstairs, Ramsgate, and surrounding areas, they remain a trusted and respected name in funeral care across Kent.
