What is the size of any upfront deposit required?
We do not normally ask for a deposit, but each individual case is judged on its own merit. Where the total estimate account for services requested by you is deemed excessive, you may be asked to make an interim payment of the ‘disbursements’ total.
When must I pay the upfront deposit?
When asked to, before the Funeral.
How long will I have to pay the final balance?
The account is usually sent 7-10 days after the funeral. If wished, the account may be forwarded to your solicitor or bank.
If, when you receive our invoice, you need more time because of waiting for insurance, Probate etc please let us know.
If, however, we do not hear from you within 4 weeks and we have had no response to our telephone calls and letters, we may have to start proceedings.
What are my options for paying the deposit and final balance?
We accept Cash, Cheque, Visa & Mastercard. This can be paid over the phone or directly into our account by Faster Payment.
Will any additional charges apply is I don’t pay the bill on time?
This will be discussed with you. We will work with you as long as you work with us.
If I change my mind after engaging you as my funeral director, will you charge me (and if so, how much)?
This depends on what Funeral arrangements have been made and whether any services have already been supplied. This will be discussed with you.
