We are proud of our history dating back to 1832, as a small independent regional co-operative our main aim has always been around helping people, nowhere is that more apparent than in our funeral locations.
Our community funeral directors and personal funeral advisors are proud to serve the local community, helping families through a difficult time with their professionalism and dedication.
"He kept us up to date with everything going on and was there to answer all my questions, which took away any stress. He was very kind and compassionate throughout, and helped us through what is for everyone a very difficult time."
— Tina Roebuck (about Jordan)
"Tracy was amazing from start to finish, taking us through the process in a simple way, which at a difficult time is just what we needed. She was patient, kind and listened to understand us as a family."
— Vicky H (about Tracy)
"Their professionalism and expertise allowed me to relax and enjoy the ceremony knowing I had the amazing support from Paul to deliver my service for my late brother. Carolyn even identified the perfect undertaker to deal with me on the day."
— Kaz Miller (about Carolyn)
"They were so responsive to our requests, guiding us gently through the organisation and the day itself and this made the whole process so much easier. My heartfelt thanks to all concerned for helping make the day a celebration of my mum's life. I know she would have approved."
— Miranda McWilliams (about Karen)
"His kindness, compassion, humour and all round ability to make the situation just that little bit lighter is something that we will never take for granted or thank him enough for. The care throughout was something that we will hold dearly to us."
— Paige Lavery (about Jordan)
"He eased my mind as well as my broken heart. Even though it was straight forward, Ryan came across with professionalism, caring and the greatest kindness at this sad time for me. He was so lovely that he kept me up to date with everything that was going on. I can't thank him enough."

Jordan was our director recently and helped us through the process after my nan suddenly passed. When I say we couldn’t have asked for anyone better to support us through this time, I really mean it. His kindness, compassion, humour and all round ability to make the situation just that little bit lighter is something that we will never take for granted or thank him enough for. He made everything run so smoothly, our questions were never too much and he did everything he could to accommodate not only ours but my nans final wishes too. The care throughout was something that we will hold dearly to us - Jordan deserves every bit of recognition for his amazing work 🤍

Wonderful, professional, polite service. Jordan is a kind, caring, empathic person who dealt with our family sensitively, responsively and personable as well. Thank you to all at the Co-op funeral directors in Rugby

I am writing this to share a deeply concerning experience regarding the professional standards of Heart of England Co-op Funerals. During a period of on-call duty, a staff member allowed my young children to sit inside a private ambulance and discussed graphic, age-inappropriate details of the profession with them. My children provided vivid descriptions of the vehicle's interior and were left feeling frightened. Despite raising a formal complaint, the company's response has been profoundly dismissive. While they confirmed the vehicle was being used for on-call duties, they concluded that no professional standards or safeguarding protocols were breached. They have characterised this incident as a "family issue" rather than a failure of professional conduct. As a professional myself, I find it unacceptable for a funeral provider to suggest that allowing children access to a frontline morgue vehicle is "educational" or "beneficial". Their final response was defensive and failed to take accountability for the clear lack of boundaries shown by their staff. I would advise parents to be cautious of a firm that views such an occurrence as acceptable practice. UPDATE: The company’s response further proves the lack of professional boundaries. I raised a safeguarding concern regarding an on-call vehicle, and the Head of Funeral has responded by publicly disclosing my private family relationships to discredit the complaint. This dismissive attitude and breach of privacy confirm my concerns about their professional standards.
