Today, caring for people is still at the heart of what we do at John Gray and Co Funeral Directors and we continue to provide a truly professional and caring service to the local community and surrounding areas.
The teams at our Bangor and Holywood funeral homes will provide advice at every stage of the funeral planning process.
"Barbara's attention to detail and unwavering support were appreciated so much by the family. Andrew and his team were fantastic on the day of the funeral, guiding and advising the family with sensitivity and respect."
— Stephen Brennan (about Barbara)
"Barbara and the team are incredibly professional and steered us through every aspect of the process. The funeral coordinator contacted me the day before to go over the arrangements, ensuring everything met with our wishes. This instilled reassurance and confidence knowing I was in very capable hands."
— Karen Lynn (about Barbara)
"I don't know how as a family we would have given mum the send off she deserved without John Grays and their whole team. They not only do their job but counselling along with it, and empathy goes a long way when a beloved has passed on."
— Sonia Bell
"We immediately felt at ease from stepping through the front door in Holywood and our final memories of Dad have been strengthened from our involvement with John Gray & Co."
— Mark Rebbeck (about Barbara)
"From my initial phone call at 2.30am and subsequent immediate response I was instantly confident that the situation was being handled with dignity. Unfortunately only 11 weeks later I was on the phone to Barbara again, and as before, the whole process was made so much easier. I really cannot speak highly enough of Barbara, Colin and the team. Extremely caring, dignified and consummate professionals."
— David Jeffrey (about Barbara)
"All the branch members felt like a second family, supporting, comforting and reassuring me through the whole event. Barbara even made sure that I had a bottle of water before the cortege set off. This branch guided me through one of the saddest times in my life with such compassion and empathy that I can't recommend them highly enough."
— Carole Patterson (about Barbara)

The Rebbeck Family were very impressed by the professional and personal service that John Gray & Co Funeral Directors provided. This difficult time was made easier for us all with all issues taken care of and any requests accommodated. The order of service design provided by Barbara made us all very proud of dear Papa Gordon. We would like to sincerely thank all of the team in Holywood for the excellent service they provided. We immediately felt at ease from stepping through the front door in Holywood and our final memories of Dad have been strengthened from our involvement with John Gray & Co. Thank you again.

We were very impressed with the service we received from Gray’s funeral directors. We cannot recommend them highly enough. Barbara was helpful, supportive and sympathetic from the first contact and nothing was too much bother. Our funeral plans were not straightforward but everything was organised exactly as we wanted in super quick time in the run up to Christmas. The team of undertakers were very professional and followed all of our wishes without question. The whole team allowed us to grieve for mum and give her the send off she would have wanted. Thank you.

I have used John Gray of Holywood twice in the past 18 months. I found Barbara and the whole team very professional, compassionate and efficient. From my initial contact she explained everything, offering assistance and guidance when required. We were treated with dignity and respect throughout and this made the whole process much easier at a very difficult time. The funeral coordinator contacted me the day before to go over the arrangements, ensuring everything met with our wishes. This instilled reassurance and confidence knowing I was in very capable hands. Sincere gratitude from Karen Lynn & Family.

During the summer of 2020 I lost my Mother in July and then my Father in September. The service and support provided by John Gray & Co. in Holywood was absolutely fantastic. Barbara and the team are incredibly professional and steered us through every aspect of the process. From my initial phone call at 2.30am and subsequent immediate response I was instantly confident that the situation was being handled with dignity. Unfortunately only 11 weeks later I was on the phone to Barbara again, and as before, the whole process was made so much easier by John Gray and Co.
