Kyle Brothers Funeral Directors is an independent, family-run business established in Kelso, Roxburghshire, in 1945. Founded by Robert W. Kyle, the company has grown over the decades into a trusted and prominent funeral director serving families in and around Kelso, Morebattle, Yetholm, Coldstream, Gordon, Greenlaw, and Duns. With a rich history rooted in the local community, Kyle Bros has maintained its reputation for attention to detail and compassionate care across generations.
The business is currently led by David Irvine, Proprietor and Funeral Director, who holds the NAFD Diploma in Funeral Directing and is a qualified member of the British Institute of Embalmers. David started in the family business in July 1989 and continues the tradition of personal, professional service. The dedicated team works together to guide families through each step of the funeral process with empathy and understanding.
Kyle Brothers offers a comprehensive range of funeral services including full church services, burials, cremations, Humanist Celebrant ceremonies, and Independent Civil Funeral Celebrant services. A woodland burial option is also available at Hundy Mundy Natural Woodland Burial Ground near Kelso. The firm is a proud member of both SAIF (Scottish Society of Independent Funeral Directors) and NAFD (National Association of Funeral Directors), and offers Golden Charter funeral plans. Staff are available on a 24-hour basis.
