What families say

"He was respectful of our Indian traditions/rituals, and knew exactly how to work with different/strong personalities in the family to ensure everything went smooth on the day. He even provided guidance on preparing for my Dad's eulogy, and was in touch even after the funeral. I specifically asked to provide feedback to support this small family business so others can trust their services like I did."

— Shiamalee Perumal (about Paul)

"From our first meeting where I felt as though I had known them for ages, to the day of the funeral, which ran with impeccable smoothness, they were compassionate, imaginative, understanding and dedicated to creating a unique farewell. It is entirely due to Paul and Dan that the farewell had both elegance and dignity but also joy. They have made our loss so much easier to bear."

— Oengus Macnamara (about Paul & Dan)

"We lost our baby before we met her and, without asking for anything, Paul was kind enough to explain everything to us, arrange a cremation and ceremony for her and be a steady hand throughout the process. In every move, he showed his experience, knowing when to provide a kind word, when to step back and let us grieve and when to guide us forward."

— Lap Way Tong (about Paul)

"From the moment Paul answered my initial call, I instantly felt supported, reassured and in safe hands. Paul always answered my call saying hello Emma, every time, which made me feel really valued and added to the uniquely personal experience. Whilst it was a terribly sad time, there was light heartedness and warmth in every interaction."

— Emma Rose (about Paul)

"We were desperately looking for funeral directors who would accept to arrange for the cremation of our baby that we lost in early pregnancy. While they offer this service free of charge - and in addition to their day-to-day business - they do it with professional attitude, discretion, attention for detail and care. We felt supported in our grief and they helped us treasure the memory of our lost baby in such a special way."

— Francesca (about Paul & Dan Farrell)

"After the loss of our daughter Mona, born sleeping at 18 weeks, Dan, Paul and the team at LDC cared for her and for us with such kindness, respect and dignity. We are so grateful Mona was in their hands. We cannot recommend them highly enough."

After the loss of our daughter Mona, born sleeping at 18 weeks, Dan, Paul and the team at LDC cared for her and for us with such kindness, respect and dignity. After a loss, it’s so hard to figure out the logistics side of all and we were so lost on what to do, but they guided us through so well. We only needed to fill in a simple form and they took care of everything else, liaising directly with the Whittington Hospital where Mona was resting with our bereavement midwives, so we had nothing to worry about. On the day, we simply had showed up. As a registered NHS service provider of the Whittington Hospital Trust, they handled everything seamlessly and with the utmost professionalism. At a very reasonable cost, they arranged a small, intimate cremation ceremony with just my husband and me, with the song we had chosen. It was exactly what we wanted and needed. We are so grateful Mona was in their hands. We cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you Dan and Paul.

Both Dan and Paul were absolutely fantastic in helping us organise everything, especially during what was a particularly stressful time. Their calm, supportive approach really helped ease the pressure, and they went above and beyond to make sure everything came together smoothly. Even though many things were arranged at the last minute, they handled it all with professionalism and care, ensuring nothing was overlooked. Thanks to their efforts, everything worked out perfectly and they gave us a truly memorable and fitting send-off.

From the moment Paul answered my initial call, I instantly felt supported, reassured and in safe hands. Paul and Dan have guided myself and family through a difficult time that we were not at all prepared for, given that my Mum died so unexpectedly. Paul always answered my call saying hello Emma, every time, which made me feel really valued and added to the uniquely personal experience. Whilst it was a terribly sad time, there was light heartedness and warmth in every interaction. On the day of Mum's funeral, there was a challenge with transport; Paul and Dan solved the problem with such calmness and quiet reassurance. Nothing was too much trouble. When we collected Mum's ashes they were gracious and welcoming, making time to chat with us and listen to anecdotes and stories. They were interested and happy for me when I secured the location I had my heart set on for the celebration/wake, asking us how it went. They complimented us on our very personal family service and how well it was put together and run on the day. I cannot recommend them highly enough as an Independent Funeral Director, they give an exceptional, gracious and guiding service. Thank you Paul and Dan

I and my son were truly blessed when we decided to use LDC to arrange my beloved husband's funeral. Paul and Dan are truly exceptional. From our first meeting where I felt as though I had known them for ages, to the day of the funeral, which ran with impeccable smoothness, they were compassionate, imaginative, understanding and dedicated to creating a unique farewell. Nothing was too much trouble and I felt completely supported by their skill, empathy and professionalism. It has been an extremely challenging time and it is entirely due to Paul and Dan that the farewell had both elegance and dignity but also joy. They have made our loss so much easier to bear. I cannot recommend their services highly enough. Annie MacNamara

Paul and Dan were fantastic. I called a few funeral directors with a special request that none of them were happy to help me with but Paul and Dan stepped up and everything I asked for they provided and they helped give my mum and I the pefect send off. All I had to arrange was where to celebrate her life afterwards. Again they were fantastic and I will be recommending them to anyone and everyone I know. Thank you lasds.
