When my father passed away we were all naturally devastated, i had never had to deal with the death of a loved one before and was at a loss as to what to do, thank heavens i got in touch with MacGregors, from the first moment i met Audrey, she was a fountain of information and was really concerned with my loss and did everything she could to help me, she talked me through ALL the various steps and options i had open to me, we discussed all things and agreed upon a choice of options. She deal with EVERYTHING for me, contacting the local cemetery to get a plot, arranging flowers and card, choosing a headstone and getting it inscribed, she arranged it all for me, i really had very little to do. I would HIGHLY recommend MacGregors Funeral Directors and particularly Audrey to anyone who is looking for help with funeral arrangement, they took care of my father and all details, both courteously and professionally, from start to finish.

Macgregors could not have been kinder or more professional and helpful all the way through. We were sometimes uncertain about things but Audrey was always there with experience and advice, calmly smoothing out difficulties and ensuring our memories of a sad time will be as good as they possibly could be. Definitely five star service, and a very grateful family.

When faced with the death of a loved one, having a funeral director who will partner with you to ensure that your ideas become a reality is invaluable. From my first phone call to them and throughout the entire process, MacGregors could not have done more for me. From letting me have as much precious final time with my mother as I needed, and throughout the planning of the service, everything was carefully explained, and I was treated with respect from start to finish. There was never any pressure to do things a certain way, and our wishes and choices were always MacGregors priority and always respected.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to McGregor’s Funeral Directors in St Andrews, and especially to Colin, for his exceptional care and support during one of the most difficult times for our family. Colin helped us organise a non-standard funeral service for our beloved father, which was conducted in Polish and followed Polish traditions, while also respectfully incorporating elements of Scottish customs. He listened attentively to all our wishes and spent many hours ensuring that every detail was thoughtfully planned and perfectly carried out. Colin was professional, gentle, and tactful throughout the entire process. His sensitivity and understanding made us feel supported and reassured, even in moments of great sorrow. We are truly grateful for his dedication and compassion, which helped us honour our father’s memory in a meaningful and dignified way.

Audrey made organising my mother’s funeral stress free. From the start, she was calm, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. There was much to-ing and fro-ing on my part re the service which was never a hassle to Audrey. There was a power cut ( due to the recent storm ) at the crematorium on the day of the service, and Audrey, like a swan, rearranged everything to happen on the same day and time at a beautiful local Church without showing any external stress to our family. I really can’t thank her enough nor praise her sufficiently. Heartfelt gratitude.
