What is the size of any upfront deposit required?
We will require an on account payment of £2000.00 or payment in full for a direct cremation before the funeral takes place
When must I pay the upfront deposit?
We will require the on account payment before we bring the deceased person into our care from hospital. This does not apply to nursing homes or hospices.
All other on account payments must be paid before the funeral, unless solicitors or probate is involved
How long will I have to pay the final balance?
We will require the balance of the account to be paid within 4 weeks of the final account The final account is usually sent a week after the funeral service.
What are my options for paying the deposit and final balance?
We accept all major credit/debit cards for the on account payment and for the final balance. We also accept payment by cheque, cash or online.
Will any additional charges apply is I don’t pay the bill on time?
We do not charge any extra for late payment, however we do expect prompt payment at the 4 week point. Any charges incurred if the account has to go to debt collectors or court will be passed on to the family.
If I change my mind after engaging you as my funeral director, will you charge me (and if so, how much)?
If you change to another funeral provider, we will only charge you the amount for the removal of the deceased person into our care. If we have not already brought the deceased person into our care then there will be no charge to you. If the removal was out of hours then it will be £300, or £200 if this was in working hours.
