Attended Funeral

The aim of the Competition and Markets Authority Funeral Markets Order 2021 is to make it easier for customers to access the prices of funeral directors and crematorium operators and to help increase customers’ awareness of the total cost of the services they may require.

These provisions are also intended to help customers to compare the prices and services of different funeral directors and crematorium operators so that they can assess what best suits their needs and budget.

The criteria for the Attended Funeral:

Taking care of all necessary legal and administrative arrangements.
Collecting and transporting the deceased person from the place of death (normally within 15 miles of the funeral director’s premises) into the funeral director’s care.
Care of the deceased person before the funeral in appropriate facilities.
Providing a suitable coffin.
Viewing of the deceased person for family and friends, by appointment with the Funeral Director.
Provision of a hearse or other appropriate vehicle to take the deceased person direct to the agreed cemetery or crematorium (normally within 20 miles of the funeral director’s premises) at a date and time agreed between the customer and funeral director.

Offering all funeral types , regionally available , i have air conditioned chapel of rests available where your loved one would rest , All types of alternative funeral transport available at request , motorcycle , vintage and unique hearses or traditional Mercedes . Arrangements can be made in your own home or the relaxed homily setting of the funeral home

What is the size of any upfront deposit required?

Payment terms are that my client or the person responsible for the payment of the account will receive an account within the working week following the funeral which is payable within 21 days of the invoice date

When must I pay the upfront deposit?

N/A

How long will I have to pay the final balance?

21 Days from the date of the invoice

What are my options for paying the deposit and final balance?

Cash , BACS , Cheque , Card Payments are accepted ( please confirm which are accepted )

Will any additional charges apply is I don’t pay the bill on time?

To be discussed on an individual basis

If I change my mind after engaging you as my funeral director, will you charge me (and if so, how much)?

Charges would be made for any services used , or any incurred costs prior to change of mind

What funeral directors should be! Incredibly empathetic from start to finish. Reasonably priced. Beautiful urn provided with a lake view. Would highly recommend Michael Maddison! Very easy to find and was very respectful and kept us in the loop with what was happening and when it was going to happen. Gave us 21 days after service to pay him.
