Miles and Daughters Funeral Directors

Irene Turner has supported us through two funerals recently. She has been amazing, helping us to process the deaths, come to terms with them and to celebrate our family members appropiately. She has organised the necessary parts of the process; collection and storage as well as booking the crematorium, arranging coffins, limousines, amazing flowers from Longacres, creating a slide show that timed with our music choice and designing orders of service that we were proud to share. She was caring and encouraged us to make our two funerals, that occured weeks apart, different including suggesting a different hearse; Morag, a vintage hearse. Her funeral team on the day were excellent. We met both Funeral Directors who were lovely and kind. One suggested I take the flowers and share them with my guests. This meant our friends each left the wake with a posey of roses and orchids. Thank you to the entire team at Miles and Daughters for such caring and professional service.

Well done all those that provided me & my family with care & understanding through a very difficult time. Especially Irene who went that extra mile with her kindness & empathy. I do not hesitate recommending Miles & Daughters.

This was sadly my second experience of having to use a funeral directors. I went back to Irene at Miles & Daughters, Crowthorne because of the excellent service I had from her last time. She did not disappoint and it felt like going back for help from an old friend. Having been through the loss of my dad with her and now my mum, it really helped me to see a familiar face at such a sad time. Irene and her team are empathetic, kind, caring and the communication is extremely efficient. All the proceedings on the day were so professional, everything ran very smoothly and the celebrant, Trish Goswell, was excellent. I would absolutely recommend.

Miles & Daughters were amazing when my Dad sadly passed away. Irene was kind, empathetic, and patient. She took the time to explain everything, and guided us through each step with genuine compassion. Her support was invaluable, and we truly felt she cared about getting everything just right. We will always be grateful that we chose Irene and Miles & Daughters to help us say goodbye to Dad. Colin, our celebrant, was also exceptional. We couldn’t have asked for anyone better to lead the service and help us celebrate Dad’s life. He brought warmth, dignity, and a reassuring presence. His delivery was thoughtful and engaging throughout, striking a balance between reflection and celebration. Everything ran smoothly, and we felt completely supported. Together, with Irene and Colin, Miles & Daughters made an incredibly difficult experience more bearable, and we will always be thankful for their kindness and professionalism.

Irene showed us excellent care and compassion, she was knowledgeable, kind, and guided us through the full funeral process. She listen to our requests and was able to act on them to ensure the funeral fully reflected the wishes of our father. On the day of the funeral every member of staff we met was exemplary. Thank you for making a hard day less difficult.
