On behalf of my and my family we cannot thank Gavin, Janice and the team at Mitchell Funeral Services enough. Loosing my dad at such a young age came as such a shock and never thought we would be organising him a funeral any time soon. We were recommended Mitchell Funeral Services from a friend after nothing but positive things were said about the team there. And I am so glad we chose these guy. From the first day of contact to checking in after the funeral had passed everything was made less stressful for us, the decisions we had to make were made clear to us and whatever we wanted at the funeral was not an issue for Gavin and the team. My dad was a biker so we were able to use a bike hearse, the day was just perfect from start to finish and the little touches were so special and personalised to my dad. The chapel and the building is such a tranquil place where we were always welcomed and nothing was too much trouble. We felt Gavin and Janice during this whole process became our family, not just a business and taken care of my dad and our family as one of their own in our darkest hours. I could not recommend them enough. Thank you so much for everything you did for us and my dad during the whole process, we will never forget your kindness and compassion you shown towards us. I’d like to express my appreciation and gratitude for the excellent services provided by Gavin and his team at Mitchell Funeral Services in Heywood on behalf of myself and my family following the sudden tragic passing of my beloved husband. I can’t thank Gavin enough for his professionalism and his genuine concern in providing the best possible service at a very sad time in our lives. Nothing was too much trouble and we all felt that Gavin’s attention to detail and compassion was first class. On behalf of the late Kerry South and her family we would like to thank Gavin and his team for guiding us through our difficult time. Kerry was very big on supporting independent people and businesses. So with that in mind and with a recommendation of someone we trusted, we contacted Mitchell Funeral Services. From the initial telephone call it was clear that Gavin was a professional in his field. This was further reinforced when we visited the funeral home. Gavin was instantly welcoming and immediately put us at ease. He outlined the funeral process in a clear, concise, respectful and considerate manner and displayed much empathy. We left the home knowing that our beautiful daughter was going to be in caring hands. Next we met the wonderful Celebrant who is Janet Dunphy. She came to our home at a time that suited us. On first appearance alone it was clear that she was going to be exactly the right person to tell Kerry’s story. Janet, like Gavin showed great care and empathy. She has such a lovely manner and tone of voice. Janet explained clearly how the service would play out leaving us in no doubt about the expectations of the day itself. In effect both Gavin and Janet put us completely at ease and it was clear that we had nothing at all to worry about apart from ourselves. Communication from Gavin and Janet continued throughout the days leading up to the funeral which was a comfort. On the day itself, Gavin and his team arrived with immaculate vehicles and smartly dressed staff. We arrived at the crematorium in a timely manner with Janet waiting to greet us. The service went exactly as Janet had said it would. Her delivery of the eulogy written by the family was just perfect. It was warm, gentle and compassionate and it was as though Janet knew Kerry herself. To sum up, the entire team perfectly and professionally carried out their respective roles to ease our pain and allowed us to say the perfect goodbye to our beloved Kerry. We absolutely and wholeheartedly recommend Mitchell Funeral Services to steer you through possibly the most difficult of times when losing and saying goodbye to a loved one.

Gavin, Janice and the team were absolutely amazing from start to finish! Nothing was too much trouble for them from the moment we first called, Gavin made us feel at ease and ensured everything was handled smoothly, he kept us informed with what we needed to know and what to expect which was very helpful. He guided us through when making decisions for the funeral on what typically happens but taking into account our preferences and suggesting alternatives - HUGE thank you for the back and forth to create the perfect order of service, it was important to us to be something my grandma would love and Gavin made sure it was exactly that, taking it into his own hands to deal with so it was one less thing for me to worry about. The team really do care and it makes such a difference, we felt at ease knowing my grandma was being well looked after in their care. Gavin and Janice recommended great suppliers - Damien the celebrant was amazing he took our memories and created the perfect story to share on the day. Our flowers were gorgeous too exactly what we had in mind. We don’t know what we would have done without Gavin on the funeral day, he really worked with us to make sure we were where we needed to be but also allowed for extra time to speak with family and friends. Little things like giving us a heads up for what was coming next and checking in with us and our preferences was very much appreciated - we will be forever grateful for you all. We would highly recommend and there isn’t anyone we would trust more with our nearest and dearest, thank you again.

On behalf of the family of Eileen Heywood, I would like to thank Gavin and all the staff at Mitchell Funeral Services for their care and attention to detail. Gavin was professional and caring and made what could have been a very stressful and difficult time easier to deal with. Gavins Mum, Janice was so lovely and incredibly helpful, especially with her advice in regards to Eileen's ashes. Also Damien, the Celebrant - he spoke about Eileen as though she was a friend of his and really made us all feel closer to Eileen once again. Thank you all so much
