I am so pleased we chose Payne & Sons for our Dad's funeral. Sharon and her team went above and beyond. I had never had to arrange a funeral before but Sharon made it all so easy and straightforward. When I spoke of my Dad and his interests they managed to pick a celebrant who was perfect and to top it off she had known my Dad which made the service so much more personal.I would thoroughly recommend Payne & Sons and we can't thank them enough for everything they did for us and how smoothly the day went.Thank you,Laura Jackson & Anna Poore

Payne & Sons were recommended to us by the care home in which my dad had been and we were so glad that they did! From first contact, the team at Payne & Sons have been really understanding, professional and looking after us and the rest of the family by being there when we needed to talk about arrangements, right down to tiny details. They truly are a 'family firm' and the personal touch is nice. They were very organised and we appreciated how much they put into the music and the slideshow during the funeral, which was in their small but beautiful Eastern Hall, and we had the option to send my dad to the crematorium afterwards. I would highly recommend them to other bereaved families looking for a funeral director. I have given 5/5 stars but would give them 500 if I could!

Unfortunately my family have had to call on their services three times in the last 14 months, my sister and recently my dear father and another family member. The service we received was first class. We were treated with complete understanding and dignity, we mainly dealt with a lovely lady Sharon, she really got us through our sad time(s).On the days of the funerals, every thing went completely to plan, carried out with a dignified and professional manner and most of all compaction. In conclusion, I would completely recommend this family run company.

As a family we cannot fault the service we received from Payne & Co - from the initial phone call, collecting Dad from home, advising on the funeral arrangements, being able to visit Dad - Sharon and her team provided a very personal and compassionate service. The whole team ensured everything went smoothly on the day including providing guidance and help to our pall bearers, they did not appear to rush us at any point but were always there to support us when we needed them.We cannot thank the whole team enough for their support and kindness and would not hesitate to recommend themA first class service - thank you so much
