Where can I find a full list of your prices and service options?
What is the size of any upfront deposit required?
We request that the third party costs are paid in advance of the funeral. These will be made clear to you at the time of the arrangement where you will be given an estimate of the funeral expenses.
When must I pay the upfront deposit?
Third party payments are payable to Rosedale Funeral Home within 48 hours of arranging the funeral unless we receive written confirmation from an executor that there are sufficient funds in the estate of the deceased to cover the funeral costs.
We can advise you on financial assistance that you may be entitled to.
How long will I have to pay the final balance?
We send a final invoice detailing the outstanding balance between 7 and 10 days following the funeral. This should be paid within 14 days of receipt unless otherwise agreed by us in writing.
What are my options for paying the deposit and final balance?
We can accept payment by cash, cheque, debit or credit card or by bank transfer.
Please let us know if you would like to set up a payment plan.
There is no need to wait for probate, if sufficient funds are available, settlement can usually be made directly from a deceased's bank account without waiting for probate.
Will any additional charges apply is I don’t pay the bill on time?
If you fail to pay us in full on the due date we may charge you interest:
– at a rate of 4% above our bank’s Base Rate from time
to time in force;
– calculated (on a daily basis) from the date our account
becomes overdue until payment;
– compounded on the first day of each month; and
– before and after any Judgment (unless a Court orders
otherwise).
If I change my mind after engaging you as my funeral director, will you charge me (and if so, how much)?
If we, or you, terminate your instructions, depending on the reasons for termination you may be asked to pay a reasonable amount based upon the work carried out up to the time your termination is received.
