S. T. Sutton is a long-established funeral home located on Burnt Street in Wells-next-the-Sea, Norfolk, operating as part of North Norfolk Funeral Services — an independent, family-run group owned by the Blyth family since 1895. S. T. Suttons of Wells was acquired by Blyth & Sons Limited a few years after 1983, bringing it into a group of four trusted funeral homes serving the North Norfolk community.
The branch is overseen by Funeral Director Guy Stratton, who was born and raised in Salthouse on the North Norfolk Coast and has been with the group since 1988. Guy holds the NAFD Diploma in Funeral Directing, gained in 1991, and brings decades of local knowledge and professional expertise to every family he supports.
As a full member of the National Association of Funeral Directors, S. T. Sutton adheres to a strict code of conduct and professional standards. The team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and every funeral is thoughtfully tailored to meet the individual needs and wishes of each family, ensuring the greatest care and respect for their loved ones.

— Simon Marlow (about Guy Stratton)
"Guy Stratton and his staff made the whole process of organising my mum's funeral much easier than I expected it to be. They took into account all our wishes and provided my mum with a beautiful farewell."
— Sarah Marshall (about Guy Stratton)
"I cannot recommend Guy and the team more — they were the keystone in what is such a traumatic time for family and friends."
— Garry Meehan (about Guy Stratton)
"Our mum died in April 2020, at the beginning of Covid lockdown. It was a terribly confusing time, but from day one Guy put us all at ease with his calm and respectful presence. Despite the restrictions, it was a beautiful event."
— Garry Meehan (about Guy Stratton)
"When our stepfather became terminally ill, one of his first requests was to speak to Guy and sort out the funeral. Guy came and sat with him, noting every request. He died at home late on a Friday evening — they came at past midnight and smoothly took over, allowing us to start to grieve."

I never thought that I would be in a position to recommend a Funeral Directors, but thankfully, I am. Guy and the team have been there to guide and support us through both our mother's and stepfather's funerals. Our mum died in April 2020, at the beginning of the Covid lockdown. It was a terribly confusing time, but from day one Guy put us all at ease with his calm and respectful presence. Despite the restrictions, it was a beautiful event. When our stepfather became terminally ill earlier this year, one of his first requests was to speak to Guy and sort out the funeral. Guy came and sat with him, noting every request. He died at home late on a Friday evening, we were worried that we were outside 'working hours', but not for Guy and the team. They came at past midnight and smoothly took over allowing us to start to grieve. The service was seamless, due to Guy's professionalism. I cannot recommend Guy and the team more, they were the keystone in what is such a traumatic time for family and friends.

I want to thank Guy and the team (including Hayley from the High Kelling branch) for their professionalism and kindness when dealing with my father’s funeral. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and they put on an exceptional service. Would highly recommend them!

Excellent service, kind and understanding staff, nothing was too much trouble. Guy Stratton, and his staff, made the whole process of organising my mums funeral much easier than I expected it to be. They took into account all our wishes and provided my mum with a beautiful farewell. I would recommend STSuttons, without any doubt.
