T. Cribb & Sons is an independent, family-run funeral directors with a branch serving Basildon, Essex, and the surrounding areas. Established in 1881 by Thomas Cribb, the business has been passed down through five generations of the Cribb family, with the current senior partners Graham and John — great grandsons of the founder — continuing to uphold the high standards and traditional values set down over 140 years ago. Junior partners Catherine, Sarah, Nichola, Jack, and Joe also play an active role in the family business.
With over 140 years of experience, T. Cribb & Sons provides guidance, support, care, and outstanding personal service to families at one of the most difficult times in their lives. The team is experienced in arranging funerals of all sizes, embracing all religions and cultures, and offers a comprehensive range of services including traditional burials, cremations, direct cremations, pre-paid funeral plans, and worldwide repatriations.
T. Cribb & Sons is also known for its fleet of vintage motor and horse-drawn hearses, operated through their Thomas Cribb Carriage Masters division. As members of the National Association of Funeral Directors and SAIF Independent Funeral Directors, the company is committed to the highest standards of care and professionalism for every family they serve.
