I recently had to make the arrangements for the funeral of a very dear friend who was sadly given a few weeks to live. She was in a care home. I had been recommended Tapper funeral Service here in Christchurch and had witnessed first hand their funeral delivery on two recent occasions. From the outset Simon Spendlowe, the funeral director, was always there for us. He guided us through all the procedures, offered sensitive and simple solutions and gave us the options available. When the call came to say that Dorothy had departed this World Simon's team were already geared up to collect her and bring her back to the parlour and eventually into the Chapel of rest. It was all very dignified. We chose to go with a small (Due to Covid-19 restrictions) funeral at their Christchurch ceremony hall and worked closely with Michelle, the funeral director's very able assistant - who incidentally made all the administration very easy, and Anna, the celebrant. When we met Anna she was genuinely interested in Dorothy's life and helped to bring together what we had put forward in a splendid way that brought to the forefront Dorothy's love for her home country of Scotland. The service delivery, music and imagery could not have been more perfect, we were even able to toast Dorothy with a "wee dram" at the end. I would not hesitate in recommending Simon and his team, you could not wish to be in safer or more professional hands.

The 'Tapper's Team' at Barrack Road - Simon, Anna and Michelle - could not have been more helpful and sympathetic while arranging and conducting the funeral of my Aunt. They did everything possible to ensure that the whole process ran smoothly and impressed our whole family. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

I was so pleased that I chose Tappers of Christchurch to look after my husband’s funeral. The whole team at Tappers is outstanding. They conducted all aspects of the care of my husband and his funeral with dignity for him and compassion for family members and me. Their professionalism is first class and everything is delivered in a warm, welcoming and friendly manner. They are supportive throughout and are indeed all masters of their trade. It is a pleasure to highly recommend them. Thank you Simon, Anna, Michelle and all of the Tappers team.

Friendly, compassionate and professional service. Difficult times during the lockdown - even the local chapel was closed, so we used the Ceremony Room in Christchurch, which worked so well - a bright sunny room which enabled us to have a selection of photos shown too. Simon and Michelle were so helpful, guiding us from the initial enquiry through the whole process, enabling us to have total confidence that all would be well.Would recommend them totally.
