What a breath of fresh air to find a funeral director who is honest, caring, compassionate and lovely. Alex made the whole process so easy. He listened to everything we said with such grace. I would recommend him 120%.

Strongly recommended. Alex guided our family with so much kindness and skill, ensuring that the funeral for our close family member was a deeply personal and fitting tribute. At a time when everything could feel overwhelming, we were able to rely on him to handle it all. He made brilliant recommendations, sharing a range of excellent local small businesses whose flowers and catering were praised by all the guests. I very much hope not to need to rely on a funeral director again in the near future, but for those in the Newcastle area who are looking for someone who goes the extra mile to turn a difficult day into a beautiful farewell, I cannot recommend Thornhill Funeral Services more highly.

I wholeheartedly recommend Thornhill Funeral Services. Alex Thornhill was very personable, professional and thoughtful throughout. He used his experience to guide us through the entire process from start to finish and also made sure that all decisions were fully geared towards what we wanted and what our circumstances allowed rather than towards choosing the more expensive options or additional extras. All the other staff, from the guys who collected the body right down to the drivers and Pallbearer's were also very good.

My experience with Thornhill Funeral Services has been incredibly positive. Alexander was always available when I needed him, demonstrating exceptional patience with both myself and my dad. He was supportive, kind, and highly knowledgeable throughout the process. When I had questions about the various options, he provided clear and concise answers that gave me all the information I needed without any confusion. Above all, Alexander showed deep respect and understanding for the difficult situation we were facing, as well as for my sister, Irene. Thank you, Alexander, for everything you have done for Irene and our family during this challenging time. Your compassion and professionalism meant so much to us.
