When our dear mum Liz died Tristan and his team were incredibly compassionate and kind. The whole team where respectful and caring not only of our mum but also of us. This is an amazing group of individuals who are dedicated in ensuring the people in their care are treated as their own family would be treated. From picking her up at her home through to the care shown when we visited the funeral home until caring for her at the crematorium we could not have asked for anything more. I would absolutely recommend Tristan and his team. Thank you x

We can’t thank Tristan and the team enough for the outstanding care and support they provided after my dad passed away. From the very first phone call on a Saturday, everything was handled with the utmost professionalism, compassion and care. Tristan took the time to patiently guide us through every step of the process, explaining everything clearly and thoughtfully. What meant so much to us was the way he engaged with my young son, speaking to him with kindness and understanding, which made an incredibly difficult time a little easier for our whole family. Tristan’s calm, soothing manner, patience, and genuine empathy stood out from the beginning. Along with the rest of the team, they treated us with dignity and respect at every stage, delivering a truly high-quality service that we simply cannot fault in any way. We are deeply grateful for the support we received and for the care shown to our family. Choosing to engage their services was absolutely the right decision, and we will always be thankful for everything they did for us.

I don’t think any words will ever truly express how grateful I am to Tom Owen & Son for the compassion they showed our family after the sudden loss of my mum, Pat. From the very first, heart-wrenching phone call with James, I felt a sense of understanding and reassurance that I desperately needed. When Kelly took over, her warmth, patience, and genuine kindness became an anchor for us in the most painful days of our lives. Mum was such a thoughtful and caring woman, always putting others first. She worked at a local pharmacy where she was known for her kindness and gentle nature—always helping people, always listening. Losing her so suddenly, and knowing the police had to break into her home to find her, was an agony I can hardly describe. Being 140 miles away only amplified the helplessness. But Tom Owen & Son stepped in with such dignity and tenderness. They helped locate my dear mum, and ensured she was treated with the respect and gentleness she always gave to others. Knowing she was safe in their care brought me a little peace in an otherwise unbearable storm. Every interaction with Kelly, James and the entire team felt like they were truly walking beside us, holding our hands through shock, grief, and heartbreak. Their empathy, their constant support, and the way they honoured Mum’s memory will stay with me forever. I will always be grateful to them for the love and dignity they showed to her, and for the comfort they gave us when we couldn’t be there ourselves. I cannot recommend Tom Owen & Sons highly enough—they were a light for us in the darkest days, and we will never forget their kindness.

We cannot thank Tom Owen enough for the excellent service they provided after our Dad’s passing. They navigated us through and organised everything with our input during a very sad time. We would also wish to thank Paula Byrom, a celebrant recommended by Tom Owen, who took the funeral service with compassion and humour. It made a sad day a celebration of dad’s life.

Tom Owen & Sons provide a 5 star service in gravestone maintenance. We recently approached them about relevelling our great grandparents grave stone at the Orme Cemetery (which was seriously tilted to side and forwards) and praise where praise is due, they did a wonderful job, above and beyond expectations. The staff were friendly and courteous, updating us promptly with any queries. The coordination of work with the council was very impressive, linking in emails to keep all informed. The estimate was very reasonable for the work, which has been outstanding, even providing high quality photos showing the work done... we can even see the grooves of the original mason which were highlighted by them (unexpected) cleaning them and really give the inscription depth and the feel of involvement in the orginal burial even though over 100 years ago (I keep pulling them up and zooming up on different details). Altogether happily and totally met our aim of keeping the grave at it's best for the future. Much thanks to them all for all their wonderful work.
