Walker and Morrell Funeral Directors

This is the second time using Walker & Morrell in Gateshead. Losing a loved one can be a deeply traumatic and confusing time, from the first telephone call Nicola helped guide us through what can be a minefield. She discussed with us what we wanted, sorted everything out with the Medical Examiner and got Dad to the Chapel of Rest. Nothing was a problem for these guys, they were all compassionate and understanding. The funeral was perfect and went without a hitch, the cars are beautiful, not the traditional black but thats what we wanted something different. Everyone who attended commented on how professional and courteous all the staff were. Even after the funeral Nicola and Hayley have been amazing answering any questions and helping with memorial tributes, they go above and beyond. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending these guys, they offer a fantastic service with professionalism and compassion in difficult times. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

From the moment we contacted them after my dad passed away, Nichola and the whole team showed compassion, respect, and genuine humanity. They took the time to understand what we wanted for Dad and delivered everything beautifully. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they handled every detail with such dignity and respect. Their support meant the world to us, and we will forever be thankful for the way they helped us say goodbye and I can’t thank them enough for the support they gave our family.

We as a family can’t thank the staff at Walker and morrell enough for all the compassion and care from all members of staff. When my grandad sadly passed away Nicola helped take care of the funeral arrangements and really helped navigate us through everything. thank you from the bottom of our hearts to Nicola and all the members of staff for all your care, compassion and guidance through this difficult time.

On behalf of our family I just want to say a huge heartfelt thankyou to Nicola and Andy, for everything that they did for us at the difficult time of my dad passing away. The care an empathy given was second to none, Nicola was so attentive in every detail and it gave us comfort to know dad was being so cared for until the day of him being put to rest. Thanks again, don't know what we would have done without you.

A lovely service was provided for my late Father. From meeting Martin and Conor soon after my Father's passing we knew he was in good hands. All our concerns were taken care of from putting together the service at the crematorium to arranging the venue and food for the wake. All the members of the team acted with the utmost dignity throughout. Overall a great send off for my late Father
