Christopher Snailham & Family Independent Funeral Directors is a Caerphilly-based, independent family-run funeral directors serving the whole of Caerphilly County, with their branch located in Ystrad Mynach, Hengoed. Founded in 2023, the business was established by Christopher Snailham, who drew on over 23 years of experience working for two local funeral directors, with the support of his two uncles.
Christopher grew up in Senghenydd and has lived in many parts of Caerphilly throughout his life, giving him a deep familiarity with local areas and traditions. He is a fully qualified Funeral Director, having earned his Diploma in Funeral Directing (Dip.FD) — the highest award in the funeral industry as prescribed by the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) — after three years of study beginning in 2017.
As a family-run business, Christopher Snailham & Family places great importance on continuity and personal service. Families can expect to speak with Christopher directly from their very first call right through to the day of their loved one's service. He is available day or evening, seven days a week, ensuring families always have access to guidance and support when they need it most. The firm is also an Introducer Appointed Representative of Golden Leaves Limited, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
