"After the event, a number of friends that attended the funeral said that while they had been to a number of funerals, this one stood out as being one of the best they had ever been to, which was comforting in itself. Heartfelt thanks for making a very sad occasion as good as it possibly could be."
— Jaffer Lokhandvala (about Chrissie, Russell, Tom)
"From our first meeting with Russell we knew we had made the right choice. He treated our loved one with dignity and respect and we just knew she was in safe hands with him. The attention to detail made the perfect send off for a much loved lady. Just how she planned."
— Madelyne Giacomelli (about Russell)
"We requested that Tom Potter conduct my mum's funeral service and on the day he was so kind and efficient - my mum has 6 children so we wanted to carry her coffin, and Tom and his team helped us to do that with calmness and dignity. The service itself was as beautiful as a funeral service can be, and we all felt that it honoured our amazing mum."
— Laura Littlejohn (about Tom Potter)
"We genuinely feel that Freeman Brothers went above and beyond what we expected and whilst being professional at all times still managed to treat us personally and with great care and consideration. It has not been an easy few weeks for us but Freeman Brothers certainly played their part in helping us manage during this difficult time."
— Richard Wolff (about Chrissie)
"During what has been an extremely difficult time for our family, Chrissie and Russell at Freeman's have been a guiding light. From the moment we met them we knew that we had made the right choice. We will be forever grateful for their support."
— Louise Morris (about Chrissie, Russell)
"Even when I made the decision to go and see mum, Russell was there & even though I had a 'wobble' in reception he was calm and took me into the chapel where we both placed things with mum. On the day of mum's funeral it wasn't set in stone if Russell was available but he managed to swap things round as he felt the need for me to have a familiar face."
— Simon Brooker (about Russell)

We sadly lost our beloved mum in August, after a fairly sudden diagnosis and a very painful time of caring for her as she faded from us. When she died, we felt so lost and in shock, but we knew of Freeman Brothers and got in touch with them. They came out to us quickly and dealt with everything very sensitively, explaining the process clearly. We then had a meeting with Chrissie in the Hurstpierpoint office and she could not have been more helpful and understanding, guiding us through every stage and making us feel valued and listened to. We requested that Tom Potter conduct my mum's funeral service as we had a family connection with him, and on the day of the funeral he was so kind and efficient - my mum has 6 children so we wanted to carry her coffin, and Tom and his team helped us to do that with calmness and dignity. The service itself was as beautiful as a funeral service can be, and we all felt that it honoured our amazing mum. Throughout the whole process, everyone at Freemans were so kind, thoughtful and respectful of our wishes and of our mum's memory, and we are all so grateful to them. We would not hesitate to recommend Freemans to anyone.

We cannot Thank Freeman Brothers enough for their support, care and professionalism guiding us through a very difficult time to arrange our father's funeral. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend their services and will always be grateful to them as would our late dad.

We never want to think about our loved ones leaving us but it is the circle of life unfortunately. Choosing Freeman Brothers was the best decision I made in the saddest of times. Russell was my first contact and instantly I felt at ease & that I was happy to entrust my mum to his care along with all the other funeral staff. He was very professional, caring, listened and had empathy hence I relaxed and together with my brother we arranged mums funeral easily and no detail was missed with Russell's guidance. Even when I made the decision to go and see mum Russell was there & even though I had a "wobble" in reception he was calm and took me into the chapel where we both placed things with mum and he double checked before he left me alone to say my goodbyes. On the day of mum's funeral it wasn't set in stone if Russell was available but he managed to swap things round as he felt the need for me to have a familiar face which I was so grateful for when he arrived. All of the funeral staff from start to finish that day were amazing & guided us through with total professionalism, kindness and we never felt rushed. This is a little odd to say considering what the service they provide is for but I cannot express how much I recommend Freeman Brothers & would not hesitate to use them again. Thank you Russell & all the funeral staff. Lisa Brooker
