John Williams Funeral Service is the Shifnal branch of the CJ Williams Funeral Service, a family-run business with roots stretching back to 1880, when great, great grandfather Simeon Higginson Breeze founded the enterprise on a foundation of providing the highest levels of service and care. Located at 28 Bradford Street in Shifnal, Shropshire, the branch serves local families with the same dedication and compassion that has defined the wider Williams family business for over 150 years.
The business has been lovingly maintained through successive generations, with the late Christopher Williams building upon those early foundations to create a funeral service whose reputation is known throughout the British Isles. Today, Simon and Louise Williams, along with their mother Carol and a devoted team, continue to uphold and advance that proud heritage. The Shifnal branch is staffed by experienced professionals, including Jayne Pratt (Dip. FAA), who serves as Funeral Arranger and Office Manager for this location.
In 2011, the company was invited to join Selected Independent Funeral Homes, a prestigious international organisation recognising the finest funeral homes worldwide. Families in Shifnal can contact the branch 24 hours a day on 01952 460669, confident they will receive expert, sensitive, and compassionate care at every stage of the funeral arranging process.
"Thanks to Jane who took it all in her stride with many complications to deal with. Thanks to Keith and the bearer / drivers done with compassion and care."
— Dave Slater (about Jane and Keith)
"After the sudden unexpected passing of my Mum, they were with us within an hour of calling and provided so much help and support from start to finish. I genuinely could not have coped with all this if it wasn't for the amazing people at John Williams."
— Caitir Lloyd (about Jayne and Ian)
