The business was founded by Lynn and Terry Allen in September 1995, built on Terry's extensive experience in the funeral industry, which began when he left school in 1972 at the age of 15. He started his career with Francis Chappel and Sons, where he learned to prepare coffins, collect the deceased from hospitals and homes, serve as a pallbearer, and perform a wide range of duties within the funeral trade.
The service prides itself on maintaining a professional, sympathetic, and warm approach during what is an incredibly difficult time for families. T. Allen Funeral Services Limited is a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD), reflecting their commitment to high standards of care and professionalism.
The company offers a comprehensive range of funeral services including burial, cremation, eco-friendly funerals, and non-religious services. They also provide private chapels of rest, a distinctive funeral fleet including a Land Rover Hearse, Daimler Hearse, and a 1963 Vanden Plas Austin Princess Hearse, as well as pre-paid funeral plans to help families plan ahead with peace of mind.
