We cannot thank the Co-op Funeralcare teams at Solihull and Hobbs Moat enough for the outstanding care they gave our Mom and our family. Mom had made the decision during her illness to choose the Co-op for her funeral arrangements, and after everything they did for us, we are so grateful that she did. When Mom entered end-of-life care, I first spoke with Rebeka at the Solihull branch. Mom sadly passed away just five days later. Although the Solihull branch's care facilities were temporarily unavailable and I was offered the option of arranging everything through another branch, I had already formed such a genuine connection with Rebeka at one of the most vulnerable times of my life that I asked if she could continue to look after us while Mom was cared for at the Hobbs Moat branch. I am so thankful that she did. Rebeka was exceptional. She was compassionate, empathetic, organised and incredibly supportive throughout the entire process. This was my first experience of arranging a funeral. I was understandably anxious. Mom wanted a true celebration of her life rather than a traditional funeral. Rebeka helped bring that vision to life. She seamlessly coordinated with every company involved, including Hogarths Hotel, the Celebrant, Gospel choir, Videographer, Steel Band, Dove release company, transport teams and Victorian Carriages, whom she recommended to us. The horse and carriage became one of the most beautiful and memorable parts of Mom's final journey. We will always be grateful for that recommendation. Despite the complexity of organising a large celebration with multiple suppliers, Rebeka made the entire process feel effortless. She took away so much of the stress, allowing us to focus on honouring Mom. The Team at Hobbs Moat who cared for Mom were incredible. They cared for Mom with dignity, kindness and respect. I was worried that visiting a funeral home for the first time would feel overwhelming but the Staff at Hobbs Moat immediately put us at ease. They welcomed us so warmly, sat with my Husband and me beforehand over a cup of tea, and supported us every step of the way. They treated Mom as though she was still present, speaking to her with such respect and care, which brought us enormous comfort. They never rushed us during our visits and gave us the confidence to spend precious time with Mom. Their kindness and encouragement enabled me to do Mom's hair and makeup one final time—something I had always done for her throughout her life. It is a memory that I will treasure forever. We were also able to place personal keepsakes in her coffin, making her final farewell incredibly personal and meaningful. On the day of the funeral, every member of the Co-op team was outstanding. They were patient, calm, professional, compassionate and supportive throughout. They cared for Mom with the utmost dignity and made sure every detail was perfect. They even arranged for us to stop outside the school where Mom had worked so she could do one final "school run"—a moment that meant the world to our family. Their kindness towards my Nan, who is almost 90, was something we will never forget. They gave her all the time she needed and treated her with such patience, compassion and respect. As a family, we had initially wondered whether such a large national company would be able to provide a truly personal service. We couldn't have been more wrong. Every single person we met made us feel like Mom was the only family they were caring for. The level of compassion, professionalism, communication and genuine kindness we received was beyond anything we could have hoped for. They didn't just organise a funeral—they helped us create a celebration of Mom's life that reflected exactly who she was. They gave us memories that we will cherish forever. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to Rebeka, the teams at Solihull and Hobbs Moat, and everyone involved in caring for our Mom. We will never forget your kindness and would recommend the Co-op Funeralcare to anyone without hesitation.
